Dot Foster is a Labour Councillor for Sowerby Bridge ward and former Mayor of Calderdale. She says:
“I’ve lived in Calderdale for over 20 years, and done lots of jobs whilst here, including working in 6 libraries, pulling pints, and working as an MP’s case worker, resolving challenging issues for residents, including housing, PIP appeals, benefit claims, transport, immigration, and pretty much anything and everything in between. I got involved in politics to serve my local community, and being a Calderdale councillor helps me to fulfil that ambition.”
