Bolt Works, Halifax

Labour in Calderdale is committed to bringing both older homes back into use, as well as attracting new development to the borough and our towns.

One of the latest developments to be unveiled is the Bolt Works at Cow Green in Halifax town centre.

Calderdale Council, Placefirst, Caddick Construction, and West Yorkshire Combined Authority have worked together to build 122 high quality town centre apartments for long-term rental.

Much like the recently completed Beech Hill in North Halifax, the Bolt Works development has been developed through a partnership, revamping a brownfield site into an exciting new housing development.

The Bolt Works apartments are modern, low carbon, warm and energy efficient, with easy access to Halifax town centre. Ten of the apartments are built to M4(2) standard – a high accessibility standard with specifications on step-free access, parking, sanitary facilities and layout to make sure those with disabilities can live more easily.

Between 2022 and 2023, Calderdale’s number of empty homes fell by 12 per cent – the second highest in the region.

With millions of pounds of investment going into Halifax town centre, now is a great time to join this community.

We’re really excited to meet our new neighbours!
